Linda Schmal

Anyone who’s ridden their bike across the country or competed in tri- and biathlons knows that real estate takes a certain kind of devotion and commitment. It takes the right kind of driven individual along with years of hard-earned experience to hone skills, grow one’s experience and develop lasting relationships between fellow Realtors® and clients alike.

Linda learned early on in her real estate career that one of her natural strengths is her “tenacious drive for success”. This asset has allowed her to effectively and efficiently prioritize her life and her business – it fits with balancing the Southern Utah lifestyle of work and play.

Today’s real estate requires using technology-based systems, advertising online via social media, digital publications and a global network. Prior to entering the world of real estate, Linda spent 20-plus years in the technology industry working for such companies as IBM, Storage Tek, Nextel, and others. In 1995, Linda made the transition to real estate in Bellevue, Washington where she learned the trade and grew her skills and reputation for over 15 years. It wasn’t until 2012 that Linda and her husband George visited Utah and became mesmerized by the iconic red rock cliffs of Southern Utah – it wasn’t long before they made the decision to relocate permanently.

Today, Linda is an Associate Broker with Summit Sotheby’s in beautiful St. George, Utah. Linda chose Summit Sotheby’s because of their reputation for being a full-service brokerage offering million-dollar marketing for every property, no matter the area or price point. Summit Sotheby’s was a perfect match with Linda’s corporate background and foundation in Sales. Real estate today is constantly changing. Navigating the logistical challenges, establishing international relationships, and using the global strength and marketing power of Sotheby’s helps set Linda apart from her peers.

Linda is involved with many local groups and is increasingly interested in the economic development of Southern Utah. When she’s not selling real estate, you can find Linda and her husband enjoying Utah’s warm, desert living with outdoor activities like road biking (more recently gravel biking), hiking, kayaking, SUP, and just about anything that looks like fun. Linda loves cooking and enjoying great wines with friends and peers. If you bring the wine, she’ll make you the best dinner you’ve ever had.
